The Planning and Information Department (PID) is responsible for research, planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation as well as information management in order to facilitate the development and implementation of appropriate gender interventions. 

In addition, the Department is responsible for the following specific functions:

1. Coordination of Cabinet and Parliamentary Business;
2. Monitoring and evaluation of all gender programmes and the implementation of the National Gender Policy;

• Coordinate planning, implementation and review of the Division’s Strategic Plan;

1. Development of Monitoring and Evaluation System;
2. Development of Management Information System;
3. Research on Gender;

• Preparation of the Division’s Annual Budget;
• Publication of Reports and Documents on Gender Issues;

1. Management of Documentation Centre; and
2. Formulation of Project Proposals.
