WORLD BANK REAFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO WORK WITH GENDER DIVISION TO SCALE UP INTERVENTIONS AIMED AT COMBATING GBV

The World Bank led by it’s Country Manager for Zambia, Mr. Achim Fock, Yesterday paid a courtesy call on the Gender Division Permanent Secretary, Ms. Mainga D. Kabika to discuss areas of collaboration in addressing gender-related issues, including interventions to combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Ms. Kabika expressed appreciation to the World Bank for its continued support to the Division and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening the partnership.
The World Bank, through Mr. Fock, commended the Government, through the Gender Division, for its continued efforts in promoting gender equality and reiterated the Bank’s commitment to working closely with the Government to scale up interventions that address GBV challenges.
